Ondansetron (4 Mg)

Vomiford-4 MD Tablet is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery or motion sickness. The mouth-dissolving form is absorbed quickly and is helpful when it is hard to swallow a tablet.

It contains ondansetron. It works by blocking the chemical signals in the body that trigger the vomiting reflex before they reach the brain.

Allow the tablet to dissolve on the tongue without chewing or swallowing it whole.

Tell your doctor about any history of heart rhythm problems before starting, as ondansetron can occasionally affect the heart's electrical activity. Report severe dizziness or a rapid heartbeat at once.

Vomiford-4 MD Tablet is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting.

Uses of Vomiford-4 MD Tablet are:

Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy: Prevents nausea and vomiting from cancer treatments.
Post-Operative Nausea: Relieves nausea and vomiting after surgery.
Motion Sickness: Helps control nausea from motion sickness.

Take the tablet with a glass of water.
Swallow the tablet as a whole, do not crush or chew the tablet.
Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand.

Vomiford-4 MD Tablet is administered orally.

Vomiford-4 MD Tablet may cause some side effects that are usually mild and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine.

A few common side effects of Vomiford-4 MD Tablet:

Digestive: Constipation.
Nervous System: Headache, dizziness and drowsiness.
General: Weakness, tiredness and a feeling of low energy.

If side effects do not improve or become serious, speak to your doctor right away.

Management Of Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing Vomiford-4 MD Tablet. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Vomiford-4 MD Tablet contains the following component:

Ondansetron (4 MG): It works by blocking specific serotonin (5-HT3) receptors in the brain and the gastrointestinal tract, primarily in the chemoreceptor trigger zone. This receptor blockade helps to reduce the sensation of nausea and prevent vomiting.

Daily Dose

The recommended dose of the tablet is taken as directed by your doctor. If nausea and vomiting persist for long periods, kindly consult your doctor.

Over Dose

In case of an overdose of Vomiford-4 MD Tablet, inform your doctor immediately. You might experience symptoms like sudden loss of vision for a short time, dizziness or lightheadedness, fainting, constipation, and irregular heartbeat.

Missed Dose

If you forget to take the tablet, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Store this medicine at room temperature (15-25ºC).
Protect it from light and moisture.
Keep Vomiford-4 MD Tablets away from children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

Staying hydrated is important, especially if you are experiencing nausea or vomiting. Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.
Avoid excessive alcohol or caffeine consumption.
If you are experiencing nausea or vomiting due to chemotherapy or radiation therapy, you may want to try bland, easily digestible foods such as plain rice or clear broths.
Stop cigarette smoking and drinking alcohol.
