Urimax F Capsule 15

Urimax F Capsule is used for:

• Helping manage symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men

• Shrinking the enlarged prostate gland

• Improving urinary symptoms like difficulty in passing urine or a weak urine flow

• Reducing the risk of sudden inability to pass urine, known as acute urinary retention

• Lowering the necessity for surgery related to BPH.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.

• It can be taken with or without food.

• It's important not to discontinue taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Urimax F Capsule is taken orally.

Urimax F Capsule contains two active ingredients which work in different ways:

• Finasteride (5 mg): This is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It works by reducing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that stimulates prostate growth. Lowering DHT levels helps to shrink an enlarged prostate, thus easing related symptoms.

• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): As an alpha-blocker, tamsulosin relaxes the smooth muscles found in your prostate and bladder neck. This action improves the flow of urine and helps alleviate symptoms such as difficulty urinating and a weak urine stream.

• Store Urimax F Capsule at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine in its original package to protect it from light and moisture.

• Place it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Ensure you use Urimax F Capsule before its expiry date.

• Since Urimax F Capsule is used to manage benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), it would be beneficial to maintain a low-sodium diet. Sodium can increase urinary tract symptoms associated with BPH, so reducing your intake may help manage these symptoms.

• Regular exercise can also be beneficial. A sedentary lifestyle can worsen BPH symptoms, so include physical activities such as brisk walking or cycling in your daily routine. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
