Udapa-Trio Tablet is used to treat Type 2 diabetes by controlling high blood sugar (glucose) levels. It combines Dapagliflozin, Sitagliptin, and Metformin to help control blood sugar by removing excess glucose through urine, increasing natural substances to lower blood sugar, and reducing sugar production in the liver.

Udapa-Trio Tablet is a combination medication that contains three active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This is a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. Its role is to reduce renal glucose reabsorption and lower the renal threshold for glucose. As a result, more glucose gets excreted through urine, leading to a decrease in blood sugar levels.
• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin works by reducing the production of glucose in the liver and decreasing intestinal absorption of glucose. It also helps improve insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation.
• Sitagliptin (100 mg): A member of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors class, sitagliptin slows down the inactivation of incretin hormones. This leads to increased insulin synthesis and release from pancreatic beta cells, and decreased glucagon secretion from pancreatic alpha cells, all in a glucose-dependent manner.

• Store Udapa-Trio Tablet at room temperature, specifically between 20°C and 25°C.
• Keep away from moisture and light.
