Udapa-Trio Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus by lowering elevated blood sugar levels. This fixed-dose combination helps improve insulin action, supports better glycaemic control, and reduces the risk of long-term diabetes-related complications such as nerve damage, kidney disease, and heart problems.

Udapa-Trio Tablet is a combination medication that contains three active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This is a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. Its role is to reduce renal glucose reabsorption and lower the renal threshold for glucose. As a result, more glucose gets excreted through urine, leading to a decrease in blood sugar levels.
• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin works by reducing the production of glucose in the liver and decreasing intestinal absorption of glucose. It also helps improve insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation.
• Sitagliptin (100 mg): A member of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors class, sitagliptin slows down the inactivation of incretin hormones. This leads to increased insulin synthesis and release from pancreatic beta cells, and decreased glucagon secretion from pancreatic alpha cells, all in a glucose-dependent manner.

• Store Udapa-Trio Tablet at room temperature, specifically between 20°C and 25°C.
• Keep away from moisture and light.
• Ensure it's out of the reach of children.
• Always use the medication before its expiry date.

• Regular physical exercise helps manage blood sugar levels; aim for 30 minutes of activity daily.
