• Xanthine Oxidase Substrate Medications: Febuxostat present in Ubexa 40 Tablet can increase the plasma concentrations of xanthine oxidase substrate medications like azathioprine or mercaptopurine, potentially leading to severe toxicity.

Ubexa 40 Tablet does not have any known interactions with food. However, it is always advisable to take the medicine as instructed by your doctor.

Ubexa 40 Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Liver Disease: Those with liver disease need to be cautious when taking Ubexa 40 Tablet as there have been post-marketing reports of liver failure associated with febuxostat use.

• Cardiovascular Disease: Febuxostat has been associated with a higher rate of cardiovascular thromboembolic events. Monitor closely for signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke.

• Severe Skin Conditions: Rare but serious skin reactions, such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, and DRESS, have been reported with febuxostat. If severe skin reactions occur, discontinue Ubexa immediately.
