Trapic Tablet is used to treat heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia) and to reduce excessive bleeding during and after surgical procedures, tooth extractions, nosebleeds and injuries. By controlling blood loss, it helps prevent complications such as anaemia and tiredness caused by low iron levels.
This tablet contains tranexamic acid, an antifibrinolytic medicine that works by helping stabilise blood clots and slow down bleeding. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, usually only during the days of heavy bleeding or around the time of a surgical procedure.
Keeping track of your bleeding pattern and staying well hydrated during heavy cycles can support your recovery alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, kidney disease, or disturbances in colour vision before starting this medicine. Report sudden leg swelling and pain, chest pain, or breathlessness immediately, as these may be signs of a blood clot.
