Pause Injection is used to treat and prevent excessive bleeding in a range of situations, including bleeding during or after surgery, heavy menstrual bleeding, and persistent nosebleeds. It is also used to prevent and treat bleeding after tooth extraction in people with haemophilia and to manage hereditary angioedema.
It contains tranexamic acid, an antifibrinolytic. It works by stabilising blood clots and preventing them from breaking down too quickly.
The dose is tailored to your needs, so it must be given under medical guidance.
Consult your doctor before use, and tell them about any ongoing conditions, especially any history of blood clots.
