Torglip M 50/1000 Tablet is a combination anti-diabetic medicine used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when blood sugar levels are not adequately controlled by a single medicine, diet, and exercise alone. Controlling blood sugar helps lower the risk of long-term diabetes complications such as kidney damage, nerve damage, vision loss, and heart disease.
It contains teneligliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor) and metformin (a biguanide) which work together through complementary mechanisms to lower blood glucose levels. Take it with food as prescribed to reduce stomach discomfort.
Lifestyle management is a core component of type 2 diabetes care. Follow a balanced, controlled-carbohydrate diet, engage in regular physical activity, monitor your blood sugar levels as advised, and maintain a healthy body weight.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, severe heart failure, or a history of pancreatitis. It is not suitable for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking this medicine due to the risk of lactic acidosis.
