• Vildagliptin (50 mg): Classified as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, vildagliptin works by blocking an enzyme called DPP-4 that breaks down incretin hormones GLP-1 and GIP. By preventing the degradation of these hormones, it increases their action which stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin when blood sugar levels are high.
