Isryl-M2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults when blood sugar is not adequately controlled with diet, exercise, or one medicine alone. Better blood sugar control helps reduce the risk of long-term complications such as kidney damage and nerve problems.
It contains glimepiride and metformin, which lower blood sugar in two different ways. Take it with food as prescribed to help reduce stomach upset. Do not skip meals.
Diet and lifestyle remain central to managing type 2 diabetes. Eating regular, balanced meals, controlling carbohydrate intake, staying active, and maintaining a healthy weight all help keep blood sugar steady alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or if you drink alcohol regularly. Because it contains glimepiride, learn to recognise the symptoms of low blood sugar and how to manage them. Tell your doctor if you develop severe muscle pain, difficulty breathing, or feel very unwell, as these can be signs of a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
