CompositionLevosiz-M Tablet is used to manage allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, hay fever and chronic urticaria (hives). It helps relieve sneezing, a runny nose, itchy or watery eyes and nasal congestion, and may also help reduce allergy-triggered symptoms in people with mild asthma.
It combines levocetirizine, an antihistamine, and montelukast, which reduces airway inflammation. Take the tablet as directed by your doctor, usually once daily in the evening.
Avoiding known allergy triggers such as dust, pollen and pet dander can help reduce the frequency of flare-ups alongside this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, or are taking other medicines. If drowsiness or dizziness occurs, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery. Report any mood changes or unusual behaviour to your doctor promptly. Montelukast can cause serious mood or behaviour changes; for allergic rhinitis it is generally reserved for people who do not respond to or cannot tolerate alternative treatments.
