Topp 40 Tablet 10

Topp-40 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults, which is a condition causing acid from your stomach to flow back into your food pipe, leading to heartburn

• Healing erosive oesophagitis, which is a type of injury to the food pipe caused by stomach acid

• Maintaining the healed state of erosive oesophagitis and preventing its recurrence

• Controlling pathological hypersecretory conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, where your stomach produces too much acid

• Providing short-term relief from erosive esophagitis associated with GERD in children aged 5 years and above.

Here's how you should take Topp-40 Tablet:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Topp-40 Tablet is taken orally.

Topp-40 Tablet contains pantoprazole (40 mg) which works in the body through the following mechanisms:

• Inhibits H+/K+-ATPase Enzyme: Pantoprazole works by specifically inhibiting a system known as H+/K+-ATPase enzyme at the secretory surface of your stomach lining cells, called parietal cells.

• Reduces Gastric Acidity: By inhibiting this enzyme system, pantoprazole effectively reduces gastric acidity. This helps in providing relief from acid-related symptoms and allows the healing of lesions in the oesophagus and stomach.

• Store Topp-40 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep away from direct light and moisture.

• Ensure the medicine is out of reach of children.

• Remember to use this product before its expiry date.

• To help manage symptoms of Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), avoid foods that trigger heartburn, such as spicy or fatty foods, chocolate, and caffeine.

• Regular, gentle exercise can support digestive health. However, avoid intense workouts soon after meals as they can worsen GERD symptoms.
