Topirol 50 Tablet is used to control seizures in epilepsy and to prevent migraine headaches in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. Regular use helps reduce seizure frequency and lowers the number of migraine days.
It contains topiramate, an anticonvulsant medicine. Take it as prescribed with or without food. Do not stop taking it suddenly, as this can cause seizures to increase. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day to help reduce the risk of kidney stones.
A consistent sleep routine, avoiding alcohol, and identifying migraine triggers help support overall treatment. Take care with activities such as driving until you know how the medicine affects your alertness.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, a history of kidney stones, or glaucoma. Seek medical help immediately if you develop sudden eye pain or vision changes. Women of childbearing age must use effective contraception, as topiramate can harm an unborn baby.
