• Lie in the left lateral position.
• Flex legs at the knee and at hip joints.
• Remove cap and lubricate the rectal tube with a small quantity of enema solution.
• Now insert the lubricated rectal tube into the anus and squeeze the container till nearly all the solution is emptied.
• Remove the rectal tube and dispose off the container.
