Tonact Gold 20 Capsule 10 is used for long-term protection against future heart attacks and strokes, particularly in patients with existing heart disease or blood vessel blockages. It works by aggressively lowering high cholesterol levels and preventing the dangerous formation of blood clots (using an antiplatelet agent).

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush it.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

Tonact Gold 20 Capsule 10 combines three active ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This component acts by inhibiting platelet cyclo-oxygenase 1 in your body. This blocks thromboxane A2 synthesis, leading to reduced platelet aggregation, thus preventing clot formation.

• Atorvastatin (20 mg): This ingredient works by competitively inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme critical for cholesterol biosynthesis in your body. The inhibition leads to increased LDL clearance, reducing LDL cholesterol levels and slowing the progression of coronary atherosclerosis.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): Clopidogrel is a prodrug that inhibits ADP-mediated platelet aggregation by irreversibly binding to P2Y12 receptors on platelets in your blood. This action provides additional protection against thromboembolic events when combined with aspirin.
