Atormac Gold Capsule is used for:

• Secondary prevention of heart attack

• Lowering the risk of stroke and transient ischemic attacks

• Management of established peripheral arterial disease

• Aftercare following coronary artery bypass graft surgery

• Care after percutaneous coronary intervention with stent placement

• Risk reduction in patients with multiple cardiovascular risk factors like diabetes, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and smoking habits

Here's how you should take Atormac Gold Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing, or opening the capsule.

• Make sure to take your medicine at the same time each day.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Atormac Gold Capsule is taken orally.

Atormac Gold Capsule contains three active components:

• Aspirin (75 mg): As an antiplatelet agent, aspirin blocks an enzyme called cyclooxygenase-1 in your body. This process leads to decreased production of thromboxane A2, reducing platelet aggregation or clumping together of platelets in the blood. This helps prevent blood clots from forming.

• Atorvastatin (20 mg): This component is a statin that works by inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme plays a significant role in cholesterol formation in your body. By reducing levels of LDL cholesterol (often referred to as "bad" cholesterol), atorvastatin slows down the progression of atherosclerosis.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet agent that, when converted into its active form in the body, selectively inhibits the binding of ADP (adenosine diphosphate) to specific receptors on platelets. This prevents platelets from activating and clumping together, further reducing the risk of blood clots.

• Store Atormac Gold Capsule in a closed container at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
