Atormac Gold Capsule is used for the secondary prevention of heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular complications in people at high risk, including those with established heart or blood vessel disease.

Uses of Atormac Gold Capsule are:

• Heart Attack Prevention: Helps prevent further heart attacks in people with a history of cardiovascular disease.
• Stroke Prevention: Reduces the risk of stroke and transient ischaemic attacks.
• Cholesterol and Clot Control: Lowers cholesterol and prevents blood clots in high-risk patients where antiplatelet therapy and cholesterol-lowering treatment are indicated.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing, chewing, or opening the capsule.

Atormac Gold Capsule contains three active components:

• Aspirin (75 mg): As an antiplatelet agent, aspirin blocks an enzyme called cyclooxygenase-1 in your body. This process leads to decreased production of thromboxane A2, reducing platelet aggregation or clumping together of platelets in the blood. This helps prevent blood clots from forming.
• Atorvastatin (20 mg): This component is a statin that works by inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme plays a significant role in cholesterol formation in your body. By reducing levels of LDL cholesterol (often referred to as "bad" cholesterol), atorvastatin slows down the progression of atherosclerosis.
