THYROX 125 Tablet is used to manage hypothyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones. It belongs to a class of medicines known as thyroid hormone replacements and contains levothyroxine.
Levothyroxine replaces the natural thyroid hormone the body is not producing enough of, which restores normal metabolism and helps relieve symptoms of an underactive thyroid such as tiredness, weight gain and feeling cold.
Take this tablet daily, on an empty stomach, at least 30 to 60 minutes before food, and at the same time each day, since consistent timing and absorption are important for this medicine to work reliably.
Leave a gap of at least four hours between this medicine and calcium or iron supplements, as they reduce absorption. Tell your doctor if you have heart disease, and report any palpitations, chest pain or excessive sweating, which can indicate your dose needs adjustment.
