Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10

Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 interacts with the following medicines:

• Prostaglandin synthetase inhibiting drugs such as ibuprofen, indomethacin: These medicines may reduce the blood pressure–lowering effect of Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 by interfering with prostaglandin-mediated vascular relaxation.
• Anticonvulsants such as Phenytoin: Concomitant use may alter the effectiveness of Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 by affecting its metabolism, potentially leading to reduced therapeutic control of blood pressure.
• Cardiac Glycoside such as Digoxin: Co-administration may increase the risk of abnormal heart rhythm or enhanced cardiac effects due to additive effects on heart rate and conduction.
• Antiarrhythmics such as Quinidine: Combined use may increase the risk of bradycardia and other cardiac conduction disturbances by potentiating the heart rate–lowering effect.

Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 interacts with the following foods:

• Grapefruit juice: Grapefruit juice may increase nifedipine levels and should be avoided during treatment.

Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 interacts with the following diseases:

• Severe bradycardia, heart block, or cardiogenic shock: The use of  Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 is contraindicated due to the risk of worsening cardiac function.
• Heart rhythm disorders: Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 may worsen existing arrhythmias or conduction abnormalities due to its effects on heart rate and cardiac electrical activity.
• Severe hypotension: Use may further lower blood pressure, increasing the risk of dizziness, fainting, or circulatory collapse.
• Diabetes: Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 may mask symptoms of hypoglycaemia, such as rapid heartbeat, and can affect blood glucose control, requiring close monitoring.

The daily dose of Tenofed 50/20 MG Capsule 10 is determined by your doctor based on blood pressure response and clinical condition. Do not adjust the dose without medical advice.

Overdose may lead to severe low blood pressure, slow heart rate, breathing difficulty, dizziness, or fainting. Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.

If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose.
