• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Medicines like ibuprofen or naproxen may interact with Newtel Ch 40 Tablet 10 and can reduce the blood pressure-lowering effect of this tablet. These medicines can also increase the risk of kidney damage.
• Mood stabilizers such as Lithium: This medicine may increase the level of lithium in your body, causing adverse effects.
• Other antihypertensives: Medicines like aliskiren and ramipril can increase the risk of low blood pressure (hypotension), high potassium levels (hyperkalaemia), and impaired kidney function when taken with Newtel Ch 40 Tablet 10.

Newtel Ch 40 Tablet 10 may interact with certain foods, such as:

• High-potassium foods: Eating foods rich in potassium, like dried fruits, spinach, and lentils, can lead to high potassium levels in your body, causing unwanted side effects.
• High-sodium foods: Foods rich in sodium, like processed cheese and seafood, might reduce the medicine's effectiveness.

Newtel Ch 40 Tablet 10 may interact with the following diseases:

• Anuria: This medicine is contraindicated in patients with anuria (a condition where there is no urine production).
• Diabetes: Chlorthalidone may interfere with blood glucose control, leading to hyperglycaemia (high blood glucose levels).
• Liver impairment: As telmisartan is mainly removed through the liver, individuals with liver disease should exercise caution before taking this medicine.
