CompositionCordarone X Tablet is used to treat and prevent serious abnormal heart rhythms, including atrial fibrillation and life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias, usually when other treatments have not worked. It is taken under close medical supervision.
It contains amiodarone. It works by steadying the heart's electrical activity, which helps maintain a regular rhythm.
Take it exactly as prescribed. Because it can build up in the body, your doctor will arrange regular checks of your lungs, liver, thyroid and eyes.
Avoid strong sunlight, as the skin can become very sensitive to light. Tell your doctor about all other medicines, as amiodarone interacts with many, and report breathlessness, a persistent cough, or yellowing of the skin.
