CompositionStator 40 Tablet is used to lower high cholesterol and triglycerides in adults, including those with inherited high cholesterol (familial hypercholesterolaemia). It is a single-ingredient statin containing atorvastatin.
It helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke and is usually a long-term treatment. Take it at any time of day, with or without food, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when you feel well.
Choose foods low in saturated fat, with less ghee, butter and fried snacks and more vegetables, fruit and dal. Regular activity, a healthy weight and quitting smoking also help.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, or dark-coloured urine. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
