CompositionSotret 10mg Capsule is used to treat severe acne, especially forms that risk scarring. It contains isotretinoin, a retinoid, and helps reduce skin lesions, inflammation and persistent acne when other treatments have not been effective.
Isotretinoin works by significantly reducing oil (sebum) production in the skin, shrinking the oil glands, and reducing inflammation, improving skin condition over a course of treatment lasting several months.
Take this capsule with food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and attend all follow-up appointments and blood tests arranged during treatment to monitor your liver function and blood fat levels.
This medicine must not be used in pregnancy, as it carries a very high risk of severe birth defects; women of childbearing potential must use effective contraception before, during and for a month after treatment, and regular pregnancy tests will be arranged. Tell your doctor if you notice low mood, thoughts of self-harm, or severe headache with visual disturbance.
