Sensiclav-DS Dry Syrup is used to treat bacterial infections in children, including infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose and throat, urinary tract, skin and teeth, as well as more serious infections such as septicaemia when prescribed by a doctor.
It contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, a combination antibiotic. Give it to your child as prescribed, based on their weight and condition. Give the full course even if your child starts to feel better.
Ensure your child gets adequate fluids and rest during treatment. Giving the syrup with food can help if it upsets your child's stomach, and using the measuring cup provided helps ensure an accurate dose.
Before giving this medicine, tell your child's doctor about any known allergy to penicillin, or other medicines your child is taking. Watch for signs of an allergic reaction, such as a rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing, and seek urgent care if these occur.
