Rozucor Gold 20 Capsule 10 is used to lower cholesterol and prevent blood clots in adults with heart or blood vessel disease, such as after a heart attack or stent. It is a combination medicine containing rosuvastatin 20mg (a statin), aspirin and clopidogrel (both antiplatelets).
This medicine is used when a person needs both cholesterol-lowering treatment and two antiplatelet medicines, helping reduce the risk of another heart attack or stroke. Take it preferably after a meal, as prescribed. Do not stop taking it without speaking to your doctor, as stopping suddenly can increase the risk of a clot.
A diet low in saturated fat, regular activity as advised, keeping a healthy weight, limiting alcohol and not smoking support heart health alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, muscle problems, a stomach ulcer or bleeding, a bleeding disorder, aspirin-sensitive asthma, or an underactive thyroid, and about other medicines you take, especially blood thinners and painkillers. Do not take it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell any doctor or dentist that you take it before surgery or procedures. Seek medical help if you have unexplained muscle pain or weakness, dark urine, black stools, vomiting of blood or unusual bruising. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
