Rosumac Gold Capsule is used to lower cholesterol and prevent blood clots in adults with established heart or blood vessel disease, such as after a heart attack, stent or stroke. It is a combination medicine containing rosuvastatin (a statin), aspirin and clopidogrel (both antiplatelets).
This medicine is used when a person needs a statin together with two antiplatelet medicines, helping to reduce the risk of another heart attack or stroke. Take it once a day, preferably after a meal, as prescribed. Do not stop it suddenly without speaking to your doctor, as this can increase the risk of a clot.
A diet low in saturated fat, regular activity as advised, keeping a healthy weight, limiting alcohol and not smoking support heart health. Take care with sharp objects, as you may bleed more easily.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, muscle problems, a stomach ulcer or bleeding, a bleeding disorder, or asthma triggered by aspirin, and about other medicines you take, especially blood thinners, painkillers and omeprazole. Do not take it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell any doctor or dentist that you take it before surgery or dental work. Seek medical help for black stools, vomiting of blood, blood in the urine or unusual bruising. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine, straight away. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
