Novastat Gold Tablet is used in adults with existing heart or circulation disease to lower the risk of clot-related events such as heart attack and stroke, alongside cholesterol control.

Uses of Novastat Gold Tablet are:

• Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention: Lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke, and heart-related death in people with established heart disease.
• Peripheral and Cerebrovascular Disease: Helps people with peripheral arterial disease and those with a history of stroke or mini-stroke reduce future risk.
• Cholesterol Control: Lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol, total cholesterol, and triglycerides, and may raise HDL (good) cholesterol.

Here's how you should take your Novastat Gold Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush or split the tablet.

• The medicine can be taken with or without food, preferably in the evening.

• Always follow your doctor's advice on how and when to take this medicine.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Novastat Gold Tablet is composed of three active ingredients that work together to provide comprehensive protection for your heart:

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): Rosuvastatin inhibits an enzyme involved in cholesterol production in your liver. This reduces the amount of "bad" cholesterol in your blood.

• Aspirin (75 mg): Aspirin works by permanently inhibiting an enzyme known as cyclooxygenase. This action suppresses the production of substances called prostaglandins and thromboxane, which are involved in blood clot formation. By doing so, aspirin reduces the likelihood of blood clots forming.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): Clopidogrel is transformed into an active substance by your liver enzymes. This substance then binds to specific receptors on the surface of platelets - small blood cells that help with clotting - preventing them from sticking together or aggregating.

• Store Novastat Gold Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep it shielded from excessive light and moisture.

• Always place the medicine far out of children's reach.

• It's important to use the tablet before its expiry date.

• Given that Novastat Gold Tablet is used to manage heart-related conditions, a heart-healthy diet is advisable. This includes foods low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt, and added sugars.

• Regular moderate exercise, such as walking or swimming, can also be beneficial. But remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
