Rivared 15 Tablet 10

Rivared 15 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Preventing stroke and systemic embolism in adults with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, which is an irregular heartbeat
• Managing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a condition where blood clots form in the deep veins of the body, primarily in the legs
• Managing pulmonary embolism (PE), a blockage in one of the arteries in the lungs, usually due to blood clots that have moved from other parts of the body
• Preventing recurrent DVT and PE after initial management
• Preventing venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery. VTE is a condition where blood clots form in the vein
• Preventing atherothrombotic events after an acute coronary syndrome in patients with elevated cardiac biomarkers when co-administered with aspirin alone or aspirin plus clopidogrel or ticlopidine

Here's how you should take Rivared 15 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Do not chew or crush it.

Rivared 15 Tablet 10 contains Rivaroxaban (15 mg). Here's how it works:

• Inhibition of Factor Xa: Rivaroxaban selectively blocks the active site of factor Xa, an enzyme that plays a key role in forming blood clots.
• Reduction of Thrombin Formation: By inhibiting the activity of factor Xa, Rivared 15 Tablet 10 effectively decreases the creation of thrombin, a substance involved in clotting.
• Prolongation of Clotting Time: Rivaroxaban's action on factor Xa extends the time it takes for blood to clot, thus reducing the risk of clot development.
• Independent Activity: Rivaroxaban does not require the presence of a cofactor, such as Anti-thrombin III, to exert its effect. This makes it a direct inhibitor of factor Xa.

• Store Rivared 15 Tablet 10 at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Keep the tablet away from direct light and moisture.

• Include plenty of fibre in your diet. Fibre can help prevent constipation, a potential side effect of Rivared 15 Tablet 10. Foods rich in fibre include fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
