Ricosprin 2.5 Tablet is used for the following:

• Preventing major cardiovascular events

• Reducing stroke risk in non-valvular atrial fibrillation

• Preventing blood clots after knee replacement surgery

• Preventing blood clots after hip replacement surgery

• Managing deep vein thrombosis

• Preventing pulmonary embolism

• Cardiovascular protection in acute coronary syndrome

• Blood clot prevention in combination with antiplatelet therapy

Follow these instructions while taking Ricosprin 2.5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• Take the medicine at the same time each day for the best results.

• You can take this tablet with or without food.

Ricosprin 2.5 Tablet is taken orally.

Ricosprin 2.5 Tablet contains rivaroxaban (2.5 mg), which works in the body through the following mechanisms:

• Factor Xa inhibition: Rivaroxaban directly blocks Factor Xa, a crucial protein in the blood clotting process, preventing the formation of thrombin and subsequent development of blood clots.

• Anticoagulation effect: By inhibiting Factor Xa, rivaroxaban effectively reduces blood clotting throughout the circulatory system, helping to prevent harmful clot formation while maintaining normal blood flow.

• Prevention of thrombus formation: The medicine works specifically in the coagulation cascade to stop new blood clots from forming in the arteries and veins, reducing the risk of serious cardiovascular events.

• Store Ricosprin 2.5 Tablet below 30°C in its original packaging.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Use the medicine before the expiry date printed on the package.

• Do not remove tablets from their blister pack until you need to take them.

• Follow a diet low in saturated fats and rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to support cardiovascular health and complement the anticoagulant (blood-thinning) action of Ricosprin 2.5 Tablet.

• While staying active is important, avoid contact sports or activities with high injury risk to reduce the chances of bleeding complications while taking this medicine.
