It is also used to prevent migraines, to ease tremor, to support recovery after a heart attack, and to manage certain heart muscle conditions. By slowing the heart rate, it helps the heart work more efficiently.
It contains propranolol, which belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers. Take the tablet as prescribed, with or without food. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a sharp rise in heart rate or blood pressure.

Tell your doctor about any asthma, diabetes or heart block before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report a very slow pulse, marked breathlessness, dizziness or cold hands and feet.
