Prolomet T 25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), combining a beta-blocker and a diuretic to reduce the workload on the heart and lower its oxygen demand, thereby helping to prevent serious heart-related complications such as heart attacks and strokes.

Follow these instructions while taking Prolomet T 25 Tablet:

• Take this medicine orally with a glass of water.
• Stick to taking it at the same time each day, with or without food.
• Do not break, chew or crush the tablet, swallow it whole.
• Continue taking this medication as prescribed by your doctor, even if you feel well.
• Remember, do not discontinue this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Prolomet T 25 Tablet is taken orally.

The Prolomet T 25 Tablet contains two active ingredients that effectively work together to lower blood pressure:

• Metoprolol Succinate (25 mg): This component works as a beta1 selective adrenoceptor blocking agent. By blocking the action of certain natural chemicals (like epinephrine and norepinephrine) on the heart and blood vessels, metoprolol succinate causes the heart to beat more slowly and with less force. This dramatically reduces the workload on your heart and lowers its oxygen demand.
• Telmisartan (40 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance that narrows blood vessels. Through this process, it relaxes your blood vessels, reducing their internal pressure and allowing blood to flow more easily.

• Store Prolomet T 25 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Keep it in a tightly sealed container to protect from light and moisture.
• Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Ensure you use the tablet before the expiry date printed on the package.

• For managing high blood pressure, reduce your salt intake. Less salt can help lower your blood pressure levels alongside taking Prolomet T 25 Tablet.
• Regular physical activity is also advised. A simple daily exercise routine, like walking for 30 minutes, can significantly help manage hypertension.
