Polyclav DS Dry Syrup is used in children to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including those affecting the ear, throat, lungs, skin, urinary tract and soft tissues.

Uses of Polyclav DS Dry Syrup are:

• Ear, Nose and Throat Infections: Clears bacterial infections affecting the ear, nose and throat.

• Reconstitute the dry syrup with sterile water as per the instructions on the pack.

Polyclav Ds Dry Syrup 30ml contains two active components:

• Amoxicillin (400 mg): This semi-synthetic penicillin prevents the growth of bacteria in your child's body. It does so by obstructing the formation of bacterial cell walls, leading to cell death.
• Clavulanic acid (57 mg): Working as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, clavulanic acid stops certain bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin. It inhibits the enzymes produced by these bacteria that break down amoxicillin, extending its antibacterial activity.
