• Peptic Ulcers and GERD: Combines an acid-reducing medicine with a prokinetic agent to relieve heartburn, nausea and acid reflux.

Here's how you should take Pentab-DSR Capsule:

• As prescribed by your doctor, usually in the morning before meals.
• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or open up the capsule.

Pentab-DSR Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together to manage gastrointestinal conditions:

• Domperidone (30 mg): As a dopamine receptor antagonist, domperidone increases the movement of the stomach and intestines. This action, known as a prokinetic effect, helps prevent acid reflux. It does this by promoting the emptying of the stomach, reducing the likelihood of stomach contents backflowing into the food pipe.
• Pantoprazole (40 mg): This ingredient falls under the proton pump inhibitors class. Pantoprazole works by reducing stomach acid production. It does this by blocking an enzyme system in the stomach's cells, known as the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system or proton pump. By reducing acid secretion, pantoprazole helps heal damage to the food pipe and stomach related to acid, while also managing symptoms like heartburn.
