Age And Dose Restrictions

• This combination is intended for use in adults and adolescents above 12 years of age.

Contraindications

• This combination is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Domperidone, Pantoprazole, or other proton pump inhibitors. It is also contraindicated in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, intestinal obstruction, perforation, prolactin-releasing pituitary tumour, severe liver impairment, and certain heart rhythm disorders.

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• This combination may interact with antifungals (ketoconazole and itraconazole), antibiotics (clarithromycin and erythromycin), antiarrhythmics (amiodarone and quinidine), antidepressants (citalopram and escitalopram), antipsychotics (haloperidol and pimozide), HIV medicines (ritonavir), anticoagulants (warfarin), and immunosuppressants (methotrexate and tacrolimus). These medicines may alter the safety or effectiveness of this combination.

Overdose And Missed Dose

• Overdose of this combination may cause confusion, drowsiness, uncontrolled muscle movements, irregular heartbeat, and dizziness. Immediate medical attention may be required if these symptoms occur.
• If you forget to take this combination, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.

• Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve after discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience severe side effects or worsening of any symptoms, consult your doctor. Staying hydrated, eating smaller meals, and avoiding spicy or oily foods may help reduce stomach-related discomfort while using this combination.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• This combination may occasionally cause dizziness or drowsiness in some individuals. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you experience these symptoms.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in older adults and patients with kidney problems, liver impairment, osteoporosis, low magnesium levels, vitamin B12 deficiency, or heart conditions.

Special Dietary And Lifestyle Recommendation

• Avoid spicy, oily, and acidic foods as they may worsen acidity and reflux symptoms.
• Eat smaller and more frequent meals instead of large meals to reduce stomach discomfort.
• Avoid lying down immediately after eating. Maintain a gap of at least two to three hours between meals and bedtime.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption, as these may increase stomach acid production and worsen symptoms.
