Oratil CV 500 Tablet is a combination antibiotic medicine used to treat severe or resistant bacterial infections. It is commonly prescribed for infections affecting the lungs, urinary tract, bones, joints, throat, sinuses, and severe soft tissue infections.
It contains cefuroxime axetil and clavulanic acid. Cefuroxime is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that stops bacteria forming their protective cell wall, while clavulanic acid helps overcome bacterial resistance. Take it after food as prescribed.
Get adequate rest and drink plenty of fluids to support your recovery. It is important to complete the entire prescribed course exactly as directed, even if your symptoms disappear early, to ensure the infection clears fully.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a known allergy to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, or a history of kidney disease or digestive issues. Let your doctor know about all other medicines you take. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
