Olmezest H 20 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): This component works as a thiazide diuretic, which reduces the reabsorption of electrolytes in your kidneys' renal tubules. The result is an increase in urinary excretion of sodium and chloride, reducing intravascular volume and inducing vasodilation.

• Olmesartan Medoxomil (20 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), Olmesartan Medoxomil inhibits the binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors in vascular smooth muscle. This causes vasodilation and reduces the secretion of vasopressin and the production and secretion of aldosterone, reducing blood pressure.
