Oflox D Eye Drops 10Ml

Oflox-D Eye Drops are used in the following conditions:

• Bacterial infections in the eyes: These drops help treat and prevent bacterial infections in the eyes, such as conjunctivitis.
• Eye inflammation: These drops are also used post-cataract surgery to prevent and treat infection and inflammation. 

• Oflox-D Eye Drops are meant for topical ophthalmic use only.
• Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
• Tilt your head backwards and gently pull down the lower eyelid until there is a small pocket. 
• Turn the bottle upside down and gently squeeze it to release 1 or 2 drops into the eye. Let go of the lower lid and close your eyes for 30 seconds. Repeat the same for the other eye if it also needs treatment.
• If a drop misses your eye, try again. 
• Do not touch the tip of the dropper to avoid contamination. 
• If you use more than one eye drop, wait 5-10 minutes between their application and then use the eye ointments.
• If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using the eye drops.

Oflox-D Eye Drops are meant for topical ophthalmic use only.

Oflox-D Eye Drops contain the following components: 

• Ofloxacin (0.3% w/v): It is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that exhibits potent bactericidal activity against a broad spectrum of bacteria. It targets and eliminates the bacteria responsible for eye infections, including conjunctivitis and prevents post-cataract surgery infections.
• Dexamethasone (0.1% w/v): It is a corticosteroid that prevents the production of prostaglandins, which cause inflammation. It helps prevent inflammation in the eye due to infection or after cataract surgery.

• Store this medicine in a cool and dark place.
• Keep Oflox-D Eye Drop away from children.
• Use the medication within one month after opening.

• Refrain from touching or rubbing your eyes after cataract surgery to prevent introducing bacteria and causing irritation. Follow the doctor’s guidelines on how to handle your eyes during the recovery period.
• Wear sunglasses or protective glasses to shield your eyes from dust, wind, and bright sunlight.
• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water before applying eye drops or touching your eyes. Proper hand hygiene is crucial in preventing the spread of bacteria causing conjunctivitis.
• Do not exceed the treatment with these drops without consulting your doctor.
