Foracort 200 Rotacaps are used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. Combining an inhaled corticosteroid and a long-acting bronchodilator in a dry powder rotacap reduces inflammation, opens airways, and helps prevent the breathlessness and wheeze that limit daily activity.
It contains budesonide 200mcg and formoterol fumarate 6mcg in dry powder capsule form. Place one capsule in the rotahaler device and inhale as prescribed at regular times each day. Do not swallow the capsule. Rinse your mouth with water and spit after every use to prevent oral thrush. This medicine is not for immediate relief of sudden breathing attacks.
Correct rotahaler technique, consistent daily use, rinsing the mouth after every dose, attending respiratory review appointments, and keeping a short-acting reliever inhaler available support management alongside this medicine.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any tuberculosis, osteoporosis, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, or heart conditions. Speak to your doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
