Levocetirizine blocks histamine, the chemical the body releases during an allergic reaction, easing sneezing, itching and a runny nose, while montelukast blocks leukotrienes, substances that cause airway inflammation and tightening, helping ease airway-related symptoms alongside nasal symptoms.
Give this syrup to your child using the measuring cup provided, at the dose your child's doctor prescribes based on age and weight, once daily, usually in the evening.
Tell your child's doctor if your child has kidney disease, epilepsy, or a history of mood changes, since montelukast has rarely been linked with mood or sleep disturbance. This medicine can cause drowsiness, so monitor your child after each dose.
