Nupenta Tablet is used to manage acid-related gastrointestinal conditions and ulcers.

Uses of Nupenta Tablet are:

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): It provides relief from acid backflow and helps heal erosive esophagitis in the food pipe.
• Duodenal and Gastric Ulcers: It reduces stomach acid to help heal and resolve active sores in the stomach and small intestine.
• Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: It regulates and controls the extreme overproduction of stomach acid.
• NSAID-Induced Gastric Ulcers: It prevents the formation of stomach ulcers caused by the regular use of painkillers.

Here's how you should take Nupenta Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't chew or crush the tablet.

• You can take it with or without food, as per your comfort.

• Consult your doctor if you feel the need to change the dose.

• Remember not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Nupenta Tablet is taken orally.

Nupenta Tablet contains pantoprazole (40 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Suppresses Gastric Acid Secretion: Pantoprazole inhibits the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells. This enzyme system, also known as the proton pump, is responsible for gastric acid production.

• Reduces Gastric Acidity: Pantoprazole effectively decreases gastric acidity by suppressing the activity of the proton pump. This reduction promotes the healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers and provides relief from heartburn and other symptoms associated with GERD.

• Store Nupenta Tablet at room temperature.

• Protect the medicine from exposure to light and moisture.

• Keep the medicine in a safe place, out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date and ensure you use it before that date.

• Try reducing your intake of spicy and fatty foods. These can increase stomach acid levels, thus aggravating conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or ulcers, for which Nupenta Tablet is often prescribed.

• Regularly practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation. Stress can worsen stomach acid-related conditions and hamper the healing process.
