CompositionNOVASTAT 5 Tablet 15 is used to treat cholesterol problems (dyslipidaemia) by lowering 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while raising 'good' cholesterol (HDL). By improving your lipid profile, it helps stop fatty plaque building up in the arteries (atherosclerosis), which lowers the long-term risk of heart attack and stroke. It contains rosuvastatin, a strong statin that blocks the liver enzyme that makes cholesterol, forcing the liver to pull existing cholesterol out of the blood.
Take the tablet at the same time each day, with or without food, as prescribed, alongside a heart-healthy diet and regular activity. Consult your doctor before starting, and contact them straight away if you get unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially with a fever or dark urine.
