Novastat 10 Tablet can interact with medications, including:

• Other cholesterol-lowering medicines such as fibrates (Ex. gemfibrozil, fenofibrate) or ezetimibe. The concomitant use may increase the risk of skeletal muscle effects.
• Antibiotics containing fusidic acid. The concomitant use can lead to serious muscle problems.
• Antibiotics such as erythromycin. The concomitant use can decrease the effectiveness of this tablet.
• Immunosuppressants such as cyclosporin. The concomitant use can increase the risk of myopathy (muscle weakness).
• Oral contraceptives and Hormone replacement therapy. The concomitant use can affect the blood concentrations of these medications.
• Medications for HIV or hepatitis C infection, such as ritonavir, lopinavir, atazanavir or simeprevir. The concomitant use can alter the effect of this tablet.

• Thyroid diseases: The risk of skeletal muscle disorders increases with use of this tablet in thyroid diseases.
• Diabetes: This tablet can increase the risk of diabetes if you have high levels of sugars and fats in your blood, are overweight and have high blood pressure. 
• Liver disease: This tablet may further damage the liver.
• Kidney impairment: The risk of skeletal muscle increases with the use of this tablet in patients with kidney impairment.
• Respiratory dysfunction: Long-term therapy with this medicine may cause interstitial lung disease that may worsen the existing condition.
• History of muscle disorders: The risk of myopathy may be increased when this medicine is used in combination with other medications.

Novastat 10 Tablet should be taken as per the doctor’s advice. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor. 

If you take an excessive amount of Novastat 10 Tablet by accident, it is essential to take immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose include headache, weakness, constipation, and dizziness. 

If you forgot to take Novastat 10 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If the time for the next dosage is close, it is recommended to skip the missed one now and resume your regular dosage pattern. Never increase your dosage without consulting your doctor.
