NOVAMOX LB 500 Capsule is used for managing respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis, and managing urinary tract infections.

Novamox Lb 500 Capsule 10 contains two active components:

• Amoxicillin (500 mg): Amoxicillin is an antibiotic from the penicillin category. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. By doing so, it disrupts the integrity of the cell wall, which leads to a failure to maintain cellular balance. This imbalance then results in the lysis or disintegration of the bacterial cells and their subsequent death.
• Lactobacillus (60 million CFUs): Lactobacillus is a probiotic that naturally resides in our gut. It helps maintain a healthy balance of microflora in our intestines by outcompeting harmful bacteria for resources and attachment sites in our gut, thus reducing their ability to colonise and cause infections. Additionally, lactobacillus produces substances such as lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and bacteriocins that inhibit harmful bacteria's growth. It also aids in digestion, enhances nutrient absorption, and bolsters our immune system by interacting with gut-associated lymphoid tissue and stimulating the production of antibodies and cytokines.
