Nebzmart FB 0.5mg Smartules is a medicine used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It combines budesonide, a corticosteroid, with formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator, given through a nebuliser.
Budesonide reduces inflammation in the airways, helping control airway inflammation and prevent flare-ups, while formoterol relaxes the muscles around the airways to widen them and ease breathing, together helping control symptoms with regular, ongoing use.
Use this smartule with a nebuliser machine exactly as your doctor prescribes, breathing in the mist through a mouthpiece or mask over the recommended time, and rinse your mouth with water afterwards to help prevent oral thrush.
Do not stop this medicine on your own, even if you feel well, as it works to control inflammation over time and stopping can lead to worsening asthma or COPD. Keep a fast-acting reliever inhaler available for sudden symptoms, and seek urgent medical help if your breathing suddenly worsens.
