Formonide 0.5mg Respules are used for the regular, long-term control of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults, given through a nebuliser, helping prevent wheeze, breathlessness and flare-ups.
They contain budesonide, an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, and formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes and opens the airways.
Use them regularly through a nebuliser as prescribed, even when you feel well. Rinse your mouth with water after each session. They are for ongoing control, not for sudden breathlessness, so keep a reliever to hand.
Tell your doctor about any tuberculosis, high blood pressure, thyroid problems or glaucoma before use. Tell your doctor if your reliever is needed more often or works less well.
