Mycept-S 360 Tablet is used to prevent the body from rejecting a transplanted kidney. It is a single-ingredient immunosuppressant medicine containing mycophenolate sodium.
It is used as part of a multi-medicine regimen after kidney transplantation. Take it on an empty stomach unless your doctor advises otherwise, at the same times each day in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Never change the dose without medical advice.
Because this medicine lowers immune defences, wash your hands often, avoid contact with people who have infections, and eat freshly cooked food.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have stomach or bowel problems, or any infection, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. This medicine must not be used in pregnancy, as it carries a high risk of miscarriage and birth defects, so discuss reliable contraception with your doctor before and during treatment. Report fever, sore throat, or unusual bruising or bleeding promptly. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
