Mycofit S 360 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Prevention of kidney transplant rejection
• Prevention of heart transplant rejection
• Prevention of liver transplant rejection
• Management of transplanted organ survival
• Supporting other immunosuppressant medicines
• Preventing acute organ rejection after transplantation
• Maintaining long-term organ transplant acceptance
• Reducing risk of transplant failure

Follow these instructions while taking Mycofit S 360 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Take this medicine on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals).
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• Take this medicine regularly at the same time each day.
• Never stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.
• Continue taking it for as long as your doctor has advised.

Mycofit S 360 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Mycofit S 360 Tablet 10 contains Mycophenolate sodium (360 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Prodrug conversion: Mycophenolate sodium is converted to its active form, Mycophenolic acid (MPA), after you take it orally.
• Enzyme inhibition: It selectively inhibits an enzyme called Inosine Monophosphate Dehydrogenase (IMPDH), which is crucial for making new DNA building blocks called purines.
• T and B Lymphocyte suppression: By blocking IMPDH, it depletes specific substances called guanosine nucleotides in your immune cells (T and B lymphocytes), reducing their ability to multiply and produce antibodies.
• Immune response reduction: This action specifically targets and reduces immune responses that would normally attack the transplanted organ, helping your body accept the new organ.

• Store Mycofit S 360 Tablet 10 at room temperature (below 30°C).
• Keep in a dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.
• Store in a secure location inaccessible to children.
• Check the expiry date before use and discard any tablets that have expired.
• Keep tablets in their original packaging until needed.

• Avoid live vaccines during treatment with Mycofit S 360 Tablet 10 as your immune system (the body's defence system) will be suppressed, increasing infection risk.
• Minimise sun exposure and use protective measures like sunscreen and appropriate clothing to reduce the risk of skin cancer while taking this immunosuppressant medicine.
