Renodapt S 360 Tablet 10

Renodapt-S 360 Tablet is used in combination with other immunosuppressive medicines to prevent the immune system from rejecting a transplanted organ.

Uses of Renodapt-S 360 Tablet are:

• Kidney Transplant Protection: Prevents acute and chronic organ rejection following kidney transplantation.
• Liver Transplant Support: Inhibits immune responses against a newly transplanted liver.
• Heart Transplant Maintenance: Supports long-term graft survival following heart transplant surgery.

Here are the instructions to follow while taking Renodapt-S 360 Tablet:

• Take this medicine on an empty stomach, either one hour before or two hours after eating.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing, or cutting the tablet.

• Never take more than your doctor has prescribed.

Renodapt-S 360 Tablet is taken orally.

Renodapt-S 360 Tablet contains mycophenolate sodium (360mg). This medicine works in the following way:

• Conversion to Mycophenolic Acid: After oral administration, mycophenolate sodium is rapidly converted into mycophenolic acid (MPA).

• Inhibition of IMPDH: MPA is a potent, selective, uncompetitive, and reversible inhibitor of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH). IMPDH is an enzyme crucial in the production of guanosine nucleotide, which is essential for the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes, cells of your immune system.

• Suppression of Lymphocyte Proliferation: By inhibiting the functioning of IMPDH, MPA suppresses the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes. This action prevents the attack on the newly transplanted organ, thus preventing graft rejection.

• Store your Renodapt-S 360 Tablet in a cool, dry place around 25°C.

• Keep it away from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always store this medicine out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use the tablets before their expiry date.

• Stay hydrated: It’s important for kidney health, especially if you've had a transplant. Drink plenty of water unless your doctor advises otherwise.

• Eat a balanced diet: Include protein-rich foods like lean meats, fish, eggs, and pulses in your meals. A healthy diet aids recovery post-transplant and supports overall health.
