Moxicip D Eye Drops 5ml

Moxicip D Eye Drops are used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis caused by organisms such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Haemophilus, Acinetobacter, and Chlamydia. It alleviates redness, swelling, itching, and discharge and provides relief from postoperative eye inflammation and discomfort following ophthalmic procedures.

• Prior to use, wash your hands thoroughly.

• Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a pocket.

• Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it or any other surfaces.

• Squeeze one drop into the lower eyelid pocket.

• Close your eyes and apply gentle pressure on the tear duct for 1-2 minutes. This helps to prevent drainage and increase local absorption.

• If you're using other eye medications, allow a gap of 5-10 minutes between each one. Always apply eye drops before ointments.

• Replace the cap immediately after use without touching the dropper tip.

Moxicip D Eye Drops contain two active ingredients that work together to manage bacterial eye infections:

• Moxifloxacin (5 mg): This fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic works by blocking certain enzymes in bacteria that are essential for their DNA processes, such as replication and transcription. By preventing these processes, moxifloxacin effectively kills the bacteria causing the infection.

• Dexamethasone (1 mg): As a potent corticosteroid, dexamethasone reduces inflammation associated with eye infections or surgeries by suppressing the body's natural response to injury or irritation. It inhibits the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation, thereby reducing symptoms like redness and swelling.

• Keep your Moxicip D Eye Drops in a cool place, not exceeding 30°C.

• Ensure the bottle is protected from light and isn't frozen.

• Always keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Make sure the drops are stored out of reach of children.

• If you have bacterial conjunctivitis or postoperative ocular inflammation, keeping your eyes clean is essential. Avoid touching your eyes with dirty hands, and wash your face regularly with mild soap and water.
