This combination also helps in the reduction of inflammation associated with bacterial eye infections and is used to prevent postoperative infections and inflammation after ocular surgeries.

To use Mahaflox-D Eye Drops, follow these steps:

• Firstly, ensure your hands are clean and dry before instilling the drops.

• Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above the eye, squeeze out the prescribed dosage, and close your eye.

• Shake well before use.

• If you are using any other eye medication, wait at least 5 minutes before instilling it.

Mahaflox-D Eye Drops contains three active ingredients:

• Moxifloxacin (0.5%): Moxifloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that fights against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, which are necessary for bacterial DNA replication. As a result, it causes bacterial cell death, helping eradicate the infection.

• Dexamethasone (0.1%): As a potent corticosteroid, dexamethasone helps suppress inflammation. It works by blocking the production of inflammatory substances like prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thus reducing redness, swelling, and pain in the eyes.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%): This compound acts as a preservative in Mahaflox-D Eye Drops. It provides antimicrobial activity which helps prevent the growth of bacteria, fungi, and other microbes that could contaminate the eye drop solution.

• Store Mahaflox-D Eye Drops at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
