Floximox D Eye Drops 5ml is used for managing bacterial eye infections and post-surgical eye care.

Uses of Floximox D Eye Drops 5ml are:

• Bacterial Eye Infections: Manages bacterial conjunctivitis.
• Post-surgical Eye Care: Helps prevent infection and control inflammation after eye surgery.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the eye drops.
• Tilt the head backwards and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Instil the prescribed number of drops without allowing the dropper tip to touch the eye, eyelids, or any surface.
• Close your eyes gently for one to two minutes and avoid blinking excessively to allow proper absorption.
• If using other eye medicines, maintain a gap of at least five to ten minutes between applications.
• Soft contact lenses should be removed before instillation and may be reinserted after at least 15 minutes, as benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by contact lenses.

Floximox D Eye Drops 5ml contains the following active components:

• Dexamethasone (0.1%): A corticosteroid that suppresses inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins, reducing redness, swelling, and irritation in ocular tissues.
• Moxifloxacin (0.5%): A fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, preventing bacterial replication and leading to bacterial death.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): An antiseptic preservative that disrupts microbial cell membranes and prevents contamination of the ophthalmic solution.

• Store at room temperature in a dry place.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Protect from direct sunlight and heat.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• Discard after the recommended period following opening.

• Maintain good eye hygiene and wash hands before touching the eyes.
• Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment unless advised by a doctor.
