Montemac Fx Tablet 10

Montemac-FX Tablet is used to treat allergic rhinitis caused by pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and mould. It helps reduce sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and also provides relief from itching and swelling associated with chronic hives.

• Take the Montemac-FX Tablet with meals, as directed by your doctor. 
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Take the Montemac-FX Tablet dosage at fixed timings each day to maintain a consistent level of medication in the body.

Dosage information

Daily Dose

The recommended daily dose of Montemac-FX Tablet is one tablet taken once a day, with or without food. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor.

Overdose

If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of Montemac-FX Tablet by accident, it is essential to take immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, and nausea.

Missed Dose 

You may take the missed dose of Montemac-FX Tablet as soon as you remember, but if it's almost time for the next dose, skip it and continue with your regular dosing schedule; do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

Montemac-FX Tablets should be administered orally.

• Fexofenadine, an active ingredient in Montemac-FX Tablet, is an antihistamine. It works by blocking the action of histamine, which is a substance released during an allergic reaction. By blocking histamine, fexofenadine helps to reduce symptoms associated with allergies such as sneezing, itching, runny nose, watery eyes, and nasal congestion.
• Montelukast, another active ingredient in Montemac-FX Tablet, is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, the chemicals produced by the body during an allergic or inflammatory response. Leukotrienes cause inflammation and narrowing of the airways in conditions such as asthma and allergic rhinitis. By blocking the effects of leukotrienes, montelukast helps to prevent asthma symptoms and improve breathing. It can also provide relief from the symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Montemac-FX Tablet away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Identify and avoid specific allergens that trigger your allergic rhinitis symptoms. Common triggers include pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold, and food allergens. 
• Take steps to minimise exposure to these allergens, such as keeping windows closed during high pollen seasons or using dust mite-proof covers for bedding.
• Wear a face mask before leaving the home, while dusting and even in the kitchen.
• Focus on consuming a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. A well-rounded diet can help support a healthy immune system and reduce inflammation. 
• Include foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel), walnuts, flaxseeds, and chia seeds. Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties and may help reduce allergic reactions.
• Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that support a healthy gut microbiome. Probiotics can also help modulate the immune response and reduce the severity of allergic rhinitis symptoms. Include probiotic-rich foods such as yoghurt, kefir, and buttermilk.
• Stay hydrated by drinking an adequate amount of water throughout the day. Hydration helps keep nasal passages moist and can relieve symptoms of nasal congestion.
• Use a saline nasal rinse or neti pot to irrigate your nasal passages. This can help remove allergens, reduce congestion, and alleviate symptoms.
• Stress can worsen allergic rhinitis symptoms. Practice stress management techniques such as deep breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, or engaging in activities you enjoy to help reduce stress levels.
