Montek LC Tablet is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, and skin itching. It also helps ease allergy-related cough and wheezing, and supports the management of mild asthma.
It contains levocetirizine, an antihistamine, and montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Take the tablet as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly, even during symptom-free periods, if your doctor has advised long-term use for ongoing allergy or asthma control.
Identifying and avoiding your allergy triggers, such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke, can help reduce flare-ups. Keeping indoor spaces clean and well-ventilated, and using a humidifier if advised, may also ease symptoms.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver problems, epilepsy, or a history of mental health conditions such as depression. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking. Seek medical advice if you notice mood changes, unusual behaviour, or worsening breathing difficulty.
